When this happens, some AC won’t blow cold air while others will shut down completely. Easy DIY Fix: Locate the end of the condensation drain line (it’s often in a utility room) and visually
1) Set idrive to "Intense" by pushing the button in the center of the temp control dial. 2) Set center knob button to Auto. 3) Turn on AC. 4) Turn on Recirculate. How it looks on idrive screen: Top (face) bar goes to 0 notches. Center (chest) bar is up to max setting. Bottom (foot) bar is at about 5%. This will cause a lot of cold to blast, and

I am also having the same problem. Suddenly the fan stopped blowing, about a week ago. However, over the winter I've noticed that when the weather was cold the heater would make a cricket noise for the first 10 seconds or so and it goes away. I think that was the blower making that noise, now I thought about it more.

The air moving through the radiator is faster than the fan can move it. If it was that, it would be the opposite affect. Agreeing with @Zaid here. Most of your possibilities are not really consistent with what the OP is stating, though most AC systems have a cutoff which occurs at a certain engine speed. –

Unless you have four zone climate control the rear center vents don't have heat coming through them. There's a diagram of the hvac system for bmw Go to hidden kombi menu. Monitorize fuel consumption (L/h) menu 04.01. Check the fuel consumption with the snowflake button on and off (set the temp to the low value first) If there is a noticeable change on the consumption (from 0.7 to 1.3l /h approx) your compressor will be apparently ok and the gas too. jwhitman Discussion starter. 3 posts · Joined 2014. #1 · Jun 9, 2014. I have just finished test driving 4 different BMW 2014 5 series (528, 535i (2) and 535 d) and the A/C did not get cold. I drive a Lexus GS300 2002 and the A/C is great and I never have had a problem with itand the 4 BMW that I test drove never work as well as my Lexus. I had my freon refilled last year, added a new A/C compressor as well. I am not getting cold air from the passenger side vents even with the center control on cold. The air coming from driver side is cool, but nowhere close to cold. I removed glove compartment to make sure my air vents werent blocked with paper ( a common issue for those of you

When your air conditioner’s refrigerant lines become blocked or damaged, the first thing you’ll notice is that the unit is not cooling as effectively. If the problem is not fixed, once again the increased pressure and temperature cause overheating and AC compressor failure.

Im having some really weird problems with my cars ac. Its a 2018 340i. Ive ran into this issue a few times recently and it usually sorts itself out after about 20 min or less but today it wouldnt. The temperature coming out is basically just the same temp as the outside and turning the ac button off does not change the temperature. With the engine running, turn on the air conditioner system on your car. Set the temperature to MIN and the blower fan to MAX. Make sure the A/C button is pressed or is switched ON. Pull the hood release under the dashboard. Secure the hood in the up position. Ensure the hood does not fall on you while charging your BMW 5-Series with refrigerant. Heater Control Valve - Hot Air - Driver Side. ive searched the forums alot and found little about my issue, currently when my ac is on with with all vents, everything is cold except the driver side floor, which pushed out extremely hot air ( although overall driver side is warmer than passenger side). If i close the driver side floor vent, then Per my BMW Genius appt last week: it changes the temp of the air blowing from that vent by +/- 5 degrees. So it you have your climate control set to 70 and you turn it all the way blue, the air from that vent will be approx 65 degrees. All the way red and it will be approx 75 degrees.
Air that’s cool but not cold could be the result of a failed compressor or compressor clutch, or there could be an issue in your AC plumbing. A professional might be necessary to find the
I have spent some time looking for this information but have not been able to find a solution. I have a 2002 745i with about 150K miles. The A/C started acting funny several weeks ago, even though it is set on AC MAX it will blow hot air on one side and cold on the other: Passenger=HOT Driver=COLD or viceversa, depends on the cars mood. :dunno: Ac does not blow cold at times e60 Ac blower come on but have to hit reset button 3-4 times before cold air comes - BMW 2007 530i Sport question. Hi guys, I noticed that the AC cents on the foot area only blow cold air if I turn the temperature to LOW. Otherwise the vents in foot area will blow warm air anyone has the same experience? Thanks. The rest vents all work fine. E.g when I set temp at 68 F, all vents blow cold air, except the vents on foot area blow warm air. Appreciate 0.
If the car has sat in the sun on a hot day for more than a few hours, the AC will not blow cold after startup. It can take anywhere from 10-20 minutes for the AC to start blowing cold again. Once the AC starts blowing cold, it will stay blowing cold pretty much indefinitely until the car has sat for multiple hours again. Things I've diagnosed:
